Therefore, to create standardization of the same zakat management capabilities in each zakat management institution, the amil zakat certification is one of the right ways to go towards this. Amil zakat certification is formulated to create amil to have superior and tested work competence, to create effectiveness and efficiency in managing zakat. At BAZNAS Cilacap Regency itself, there are at least two amil who have participated in the amil zakat certification and are declared competent. For this reason, the purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the amil zakat certification in increasing amil competence at BAZNAS Cilacap Regency.</p> <p>This research uses a type of qualitative research with a field survey approach, where in this study the researcher intends to describe and describe what events or problems are following what is obtained in the field, namely BAZNAS Cilacap Regency, whether the data is in the form of written or oral words from the informants as well as other supporting data. In data collection techniques, the authors use observation, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, in data analysis techniques, the authors use data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or data verification. As well as data validity techniques, the authors use triangulation and member checks.</p> <p>The results of the study show that the effectiveness of the amil zakat certification in increasing amil competence at BAZNAS Cilacap Regency, in general can be said to be quite effective. This is due to positive progress in improving the quality of the work competence of amil after they have been certified. In addition, supporting material as well as concrete evidence of increasing competence can be found by looking at the data on the number of muzaki and mustahik, the number of zakat, infaq, and alms beneficiaries, as well as the acquisition and distribution of zakat, infaq, and alms, which in general also continued to increase when two amil at BAZNAS Cilacap Regency had carried out certification and were declared competent.</p> 2023-07-08T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 Proceeding of International Conference on Islamic Philantrophy https://proceedings.uinsaizu.ac.id/index.php/icip/article/view/301 Enhancing Economic Growth for the Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals through Digital Era Fundraising Schemes for Sustainable Community Development: A Policy Analysis from the Islamic Economic Perspective 2023-07-08T01:03:32+00:00 Ari Wibowo [email protected] <p class="ICST-Acknowlegementtext" style="text-indent: 36.0pt;"><a name="_Hlk138078887"></a><span lang="EN-GB">This paper provides a policy analysis from the Islamic economic perspective on enhancing economic growth and achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through digital era fundraising schemes for sustainable community development. The research method used is a qualitative method through Systematic Literature Review approach and is described comprehensively through PRISMA flow diagram. The flow diagram potrays information flow through the different stages of a systematic review. It maps out the number of records identified, included and excluded, and the reasons for exclusions. Various templates are available dependent upon the type of review (new or updated) and sources used to identify research. We selected articles from credible and relevant Scopus Q1-Q4 databases that met the standard eligibility criteria. The selected articles were analyzed using the VOSviewer tool to map the article titles, author names, country of origin, and keyword trends related to Islamic Financial Institutions (IFI) and Islamic Public Finance (IPF). The results yielded 76 articles which were then filtered through several stages resulting in seven final articles for further analysis. We critically examined the research findings in these articles and addressed them based on the research questions i.e. the role of IFI, the approach used to measure the role of IFI, and the factors influencing the role of IFI in the growth of IPF. Our analysis revealed that IFI plays a crucial role in the growth of IPF as multi-institutional entities collectively responsible for the social welfare of the ummah. Additionally, the measurement approach to IFI's role can utilize various Islamic public policy instruments such as zakah and waqf. Factors influencing the role of IFI include the need for intensive government-led programs in socializing and improving financial literacy among the public to ensure that Islamic financial inclusivity reaches all segments of society.</p> 2023-07-09T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 https://proceedings.uinsaizu.ac.id/index.php/icip/article/view/304 Preferences of the Young Generation toward Housing: Is The Opportunity for Islamic Banks? 2023-07-08T01:29:29+00:00 Nur Imam Saifuloh [email protected] Anas Iswanto Anwar [email protected] <p>Every generation has a basic desire for a place to call home, especially if they are married. Many things today make it difficult to buy a house. House prices have grown more than pay rises despite an increase in wages. It's interesting to note that residences in villages have a better status than in cities. In the meantime, the number of rental properties in the city has multiplied. This study identifies the perceptions of young people in urban and rural areas regarding home ownership, investigates the differences between rural and urban people, and examines how the younger generation views property ownership. The results of two independent sample studies revealed disparities in the internal and external issues that young people in urban and rural areas face while trying to acquire a home. According to this study, the government can assist the younger generation in purchasing their first home by constructing public housing or offering credit subsidies. Another organization that collaborates with the government to provide houses practices Islamic banking. In recent years, digital technology advancements have had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including the management of zakat, infaq, shadaqah, and waqf funds. More and more charitable organizations and financial institutions are utilizing digital platforms to fundraise and manage zakat, infaq, shadaqah, and waqf funds. The management of zakat, infaq, shadaqah, and waqf funds plays a crucial role in efforts to achieve sustainable community development. Zakat, infaq, shadaqah, and waqf are pillars of Islamic philanthropy that have great potential to address issues of poverty, social inequality, and improve the welfare of the ummah. In the constantly evolving global context, innovation in fundraising is needed to address challenges and leverage existing opportunities. By utilizing digital technology and developing dedicated platforms, the potential of zakat, infaq, shadaqah, and waqf can be significantly enhanced, thereby making a greater impact on achieving sustainable community development. The development of digital platforms is also expected to bring many benefits such as increased accessibility, transparency, and broader community participation. This research is qualitative research that employs a library research approach and deductive analysis techniques. The results of this research are expected to contribute to the development of effective and innovative digital platforms. The appropriate use of digital technology is expected to increase community participation in the allocation of zakat, infaq, shadaqah, and waqf funds, as well as strengthen transparency and accountability in the management of Islamic philanthropic funds. Furthermore, this research provides guidance and recommendations for further development in fundraising for sustainable community development in the digital era.</p> 2023-07-09T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 https://proceedings.uinsaizu.ac.id/index.php/icip/article/view/306 Construction Of Islamic Philanthropy Based On Local Culture (Study On Wonorejo Digital Village, Poncokusumo District, Malang Regency) 2023-07-08T01:46:50+00:00 Lidiawati [email protected] Ali Maksum [email protected] Harmona Daulay [email protected] Oman Sukmana [email protected] <p>Indonesia as a country with a majority Muslim population has philanthropic developments that are quite encouraging both nationally and globally. This cannot be separated from the influence of the dimension of religiosity in Islam which is constructed in the culture of society. One of the customs that has been passed down for generations and continues to be preserved by the people in Wonorejo Village, Poncokusumo District, is the existence of various congregational traditions that become a forum for Islamic philanthropic practices typical of the Wonorejo Village community. This paper aims to analyze: 1) the construction of Islamic philanthropy in the Wonorejo Village community; 2) the process of acculturation of Islamic educational values into the local culture of the Wonorejo village community, and 3) the influence of local culture-based Islamic philanthropy on the socio-economic conditions of the Wonorejo Village community. The theoretical approach used is the social construction theory of Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann and the Koentjoroningrat acculturation theory. Location is restricted in Wonorejo digital village Poncokusumo Malang. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Data collection is carried out by observation, interview and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. While checking the validity of data through triangulation. The results of the study found three things in the moment of externalization (the existence of exemplary characters), objectification (the existence of institutionalized community appreciation) and internalization (normative-theological-conservative, sociological-pragmatic-calculative, sociological-empirical-intuitive typologies). Meanwhile, in the acculturation process of Islamic philanthropy and local culture, there are a) influential scholars, b) group lifestyles, c) the means of practicing Islamic philanthropy, and d) the positive response of the community. Meanwhile, in the process of the influence of local culture-based Islamic philanthropy on the socio-economic conditions of the community, the people of Wonorejo digital village feel that the practice of zakat, infak and sadaqah and waqf has become a necessity and even creates a pattern of friendly, harmonious and peaceful relations even though it is not optimal in alleviating poverty in the local community, especially the absence of the use of technological media as a base for local Islamic philanthropy.</p> 2023-07-09T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 https://proceedings.uinsaizu.ac.id/index.php/icip/article/view/307 The Influence of Gender as a Moderating Variable on the Decision to Contribute to ZISWAF via ZISWAF Sharing Feature: Determining Factors and Implications 2023-07-08T02:18:35+00:00 Lali’ Lutfiana Faradisa [email protected] Muhtadin Amri [email protected] <p>The rapid development of information technology has significantly influenced the growth of the banking industry, particularly Islamic banks, by facilitating business transactions. Mobile banking has gained popularity among customers, highlighting the potential for advancements in this sector. In Ponorogo Regency, the convenience of making ZISWAF payments from home without visiting the bank has been underutilized by users. Additionally, difficulties in identifying eligible recipients (mustahiq) and insufficient user trust in the bank, along with limited understanding of BSI mobile, pose challenges. This study aims to examine the influence of convenience and trust on ZISWAF payments through the ZISWAF sharing feature in Ponorogo Regency, with gender as a moderating variable. A quantitative research approach is employed, focusing on BSI customers in Ponorogo Regency. The sample consists of 100 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data is collected through questionnaires, and the analysis includes multiple linear tests and moderated regression analysis interaction tests. The findings reveal that convenience does not have a significant positive effect on the decision to pay ZISWAF (p-value = 0.107 &gt; 0.05). However, trust has a significant positive effect on the decision to pay ZISWAF (p-value = 0.008 &lt; 0.05). Simultaneously, convenience and trust exhibit a positive and significant influence on the decision to pay ZISWAF (F-test: p-value = 0.015 &lt; 0.05). Gender does not moderate the relationship between convenience and the decision to pay ZISWAF (t-test: p-value = 0.309 &gt; 0.05), nor does it moderate the relationship between trust and the decision to pay ZISWAF (t-test: p-value = 0.761 &gt; 0.05).</p> 2023-07-09T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 https://proceedings.uinsaizu.ac.id/index.php/icip/article/view/308 The Influence of Literacy and Perceptions of Islamic Economics on Sociopreneurs in Surakarta City 2023-07-08T02:25:11+00:00 Hidayah Fadli [email protected] <p>Sharia principles are provisions originating from the Quran and Hadith that regulate worship and human activities in muamalah matters, which are then written in fiqh. This study aims to determine the effect of literacy and perceptions of Islamic economics on sociopreneurs in Surakarta. This type of research is called descriptive research. The data analysis method in this study used multiple linear regression with the SPSS version 25 program. The population of this study was the people of Surakarta, with a sample size of 100 respondents. Collecting data using a questionnaire with a non-probability sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that, partially based on the results of the descriptive analysis of the literacy variable (X1), it has a significance value of 0,024 &lt; 0,05 and a tcount value of 2,597 &gt; ttable of 1,989, and the perception variable (X2) has a significance value of 0,002 &lt; 0,05 and a tcount value of 6,232 &gt; ttable of 1,989. This shows that H0 is rejected, so it can be concluded that the literacy variable and perceptions of Islamic economics partially have a positive effect on the interest of the people of Surakarta to become sociopreneurs. Thus, the first hypothesis (Ha1) states that literacy and perceptions of Islamic economics have a significant positive effect on the interest of the people of Surakarta in becoming sociopreneurs. Furthermore, based on the results of the determination test (R2), it is known that the adjusted R square is 0,654. Thus, the literacy variable (X1) and perception variable (X2) of Islamic economics have a jointly positive contribution of 65% to the interest variable of the Surakarta city community to become sociopreneurs (Y). While the remaining 35% is influenced by other factors that are not included in this study.</p> 2023-07-09T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 https://proceedings.uinsaizu.ac.id/index.php/icip/article/view/309 Stock Investment According to Classic and Contemporary Ulama Views: Comparative Law Studies 2023-07-08T02:29:46+00:00 Gusti Rian Saputra [email protected] Chairul Majid Nasution [email protected] Irfa Luthfia Rahmani [email protected] Agitya Agung Tridiarto [email protected] <p>There is an increase in stock problems in the contemporary era. Investing in stocks became a lucrative business with little effort put into its application. The highest power is vested in the largest shareholder, not in workers who have direct contact with the business it self. Problems arise when discussing the legal validity of the event. This is due to the presence of trade monopoly indications and capitalist elements. One of the problems that is still being faced by the Indonesian state is the problem of poverty. Poverty alleviation efforts are carried out to realize the ideals of the nation, namely, the creation of a just and prosperous society. The sandwich generation has the hope of living a just and prosperous life. The sandwich generation is like a slice of a sandwich. Those who have reached adulthood are "sandwiched" between responsibilities for children and their parents who have entered old age to care for, provide for, and meet the needs of clothing, food, and shelter. Becoming the sandwich generation may not be everyone's dream. The responsibility that is carried is not easy because you have to support two generations at once. Sandwich situations require an open attitude among family members to help ensure that money is managed wisely, effectively, and cooperatively. In addition to such a position, the Muslim sandwich generation must be aware that there are still other people's rights in their wealth. This means that this generation must issue obligations such as zakat, infaq, alms, and endowments. According to Marts (2013), this generation is very dependent on technological sophistication because it is required to have fast performance, so it tends to be more practical. This type of research is a quantitative research using the SEM (structural equation modeling) method. The research sample is the sandwich generation of Muslims in Indonesia with a probability sampling technique. This study's results indicate the influence of philanthropic technology used by the Muslim sandwich generation on poverty reduction. In addition, this research is useful for the government and formal charitable institutions to reduce poverty. However, this will be realized if the government protects formal charitable institutions thereby increasing philanthropic behavior by the Muslim sandwich generation. The government must also take a role, namely to regulate the distribution of benevolent funds to areas in need. For example, the centralization of benevolence funds to create a fair distribution. Sandwich generation competence using financial planning technology needs to be developed by the government so that it can build a mindset of people who are aware of managing finances. This can be done by increasing the number of charitable institutions engaged in financial planning technology. Charitable institutions also have a role, namely they must be able to maintain public trust and cooperate with other formal charitable institutions. Every formal charitable institution must be able to distribute all benevolent funds proportionally.</span></p> 2023-07-08T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 https://proceedings.uinsaizu.ac.id/index.php/icip/article/view/402 The Importance of Regulation in The Implementation of Islamic Philanthropy 2023-07-18T06:44:58+00:00 Rini Muhtianingsih [email protected] Fadilatul Amanah [email protected] <p>Indonesia has been awarded 5 times in a row as the most generous country in the world according to the 2022 World Giving Index research released by the Charities Aid Foundation. This generosity is reliable through the results of the Indonesia Philanthropy Outlook 2022 Survey which states that there are seven areas of progress in Indonesia's philanthropy. Philanthropy itself can be interpreted as the practice of generosity which is a tradition and religious teachings of the Islamic community with its actualization through zakat, infaq, endowments and alms. The progress in this area raises hopes for philanthropy to be able to maintain public trust. Therefore, the Indonesian Philanthropy Association (PFI) has contributed by issuing the Indonesian Philanthropy Code of Ethics (KEFI) in 2021 to maintain donor trust through the realization of an accountability system. But in fact there are still deviations in philanthropy. For this reason, Chairman of the KEFI Task Force and President of the Human Initiative Tomy Hendrajati mentioned the need for a regulation and law that regulates philanthropic activities. This is the basis for the author in setting research objectives, namely to find out the importance of a regulation for philanthropic activity. This study uses the previous research literature study method and a normative juridical approach to obtain secondary data. Furthermore, the data is processed and analyzed using a qualitative descriptive analysis method to become a research that is useful for researchers and readers. The results of this study are that philanthropic regulations have an important role in strengthening a system of accountability for actors to maintain public and donor trust in philanthropic institutions. In addition, the regulation also acts as a supervisor so that violations and philanthropic deviations can be alleviated.</p> 2023-07-08T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 https://proceedings.uinsaizu.ac.id/index.php/icip/article/view/403 Systematic Literature Review: The Role of Digital in the Management of Zakat 2023-07-18T06:50:02+00:00 Gagat Panggah Mulyo [email protected] Marsella [email protected] Muhammad Fallas Taufiqurrohman [email protected] Vita Ditya Wardani [email protected] Muhammad Zilal Hamzah [email protected] <p>The purpose of this study is to explain the role of digitalization in the development of zakat management in Indonesia. Then, in other activities, namely financing, it can also be said to be creating money. The creation of excess money is what gives rise to inflation. Is this inflation mostly caused by conventional banks or Islamic banks?</p> <p>The aim of this research is to find out the practices and opinions of economists regarding the implementation of the FRB. The research method used is literature study.</p> <p>The research results show that Firstly, the practice of Fractional Reserve Banking is applied in both Conventional Banks and Sharia banks, this is reinforced by the statement of Central Banking Research Expert Ascarya that Sharia Banks apply fiat money as the main transaction and fractional reserve banking in money creation, because Sharia banks are still fighting interest and implementing profit sharing. Second, if the amount of money in circulation (JUB) increases, the price level in the market will increase, and this will cause inflation. This high inflation will lead to a bubble economy. Third, both Sharia and conventional banks apply FRB in money creation, but it is important to note that the biggest contribution to inflation remains conventional banks.</p> 2023-07-08T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2023 https://proceedings.uinsaizu.ac.id/index.php/icip/article/view/849 The Role of Islamic Philanthropy and Sustainable Development (SDGs) Achievements in Kebumen Regency, Central Java 2024-01-25T01:04:29+00:00 Gangsar Edi Laksono [email protected] Umi Haniati [email protected] Yulia Azizah Sulaeman [email protected] <p>This study aims to study achievements objective suistainable development goals in Kebumen Regency and analyze the role of philanthropist Islam in SDGs achievements.
