Islamic education in the millennial era for the world of Islamic education, the millennial era holds a lot of work, opportunities and challenges that must be completed and answered. One of them is that many of the younger generation of Muslims have been exposed to the millennial effect, so that it has an impact on the attitudes and behaviors that emerge. The tendency and dependence on technology and communication is the most frequently seen phenomenon. Students begin to spend a lot of time in front of their cell phones. Hospitality, face-to-face meetings and discussions are rarely seen. The emergence of this millennial era, ideally, was immediately responded to by the world of Islamic education. The essence and purpose of Islamic education is very clear, namely to create human beings. A separate strategy is needed in realizing the goals of Islamic education in the midst of the struggles of the millennial era. Therefore, Islamic education must have the courage to reconstruct or reformulate its educational paradigm, so that it is able to appear and compete in the midst of the millennial wave..

Abstrak

Pendidikan Islam di era milenial bagi dunia pendidikan Islam, era milennial menyimpan banyak pekerjaan, peluang dan tantangan yang harus diselesaikan dan dijawab. Salah satu diantaranya adalah generasi muda Islam telah banyak yang terpapar milennial effect, sehingga berdampak pada sikap dan perilaku yang muncul. Kecenderungan dan ketergantungan pada teknologi dan komunikasi menjadi fenomena yang paling sering terlihat. Peserta didik mulai banyak yang menghabiskan waktunya di depan telpon genggamnya. Silaturrahmi, tatap muka dan berdiksusi menjadi hal yang jarang terlihat. Munculnya era milenial ini, idealnya segera direspon cepat oleh dunia pendidikan Islam. Hakikat dan tujuan dari pendidikan Islam sangatlah jelas, yakni menciptakan insan kamil. Butuh strategi tersendiri dalam mewujudkan tujuan pendidikan Islam di tengah-tengah pergumulan era milenial. Oleh sebab itu, pendidikan Islam harus berani merekonstruksi atau mereformulasi paradigma pendidikannya, sehingga mampu tampil dan bersaing di tengah gelombang milenial.
