Abstract

Wood waste is the residue from wood production which can be in the form of
chips, pieces or sawdust. Pakuran Village, Sruweng District, Kebumen Regency
is known as a village that has many wood furniture entrepreneurs. The content
of cellulose in sawdust makes sawdust can be used as a place to grow white
oyster mushrooms. Oyster mushroom is a product that has a high selling value
so it can help the community’s economy. Cultivating white oyster mushrooms
can be done on a small scale for a home industry or as a side business for the
family which can later provide additional income for the family. Overall, the
implementation of training activities for the white oyster mushroom cultivation
workshop and assistance to the Pakuran Village community which in this case
targeted members of the Rukun Tani Group and the Women Farmer Group as
well as housewives of Pakuran Village. By cultivating white oyster mushrooms in
Pakuran Village, it will be able to utilize sawdust waste in the Pakuran Village
area so that it can reduce the amount of waste that has accumulated, namely
sawdust and can increase the income of villagers and improve the economy of the
people in Pakuran Village
